Nate Diaz, the UFC’s prodigal son, is coming to the advertising.
The fan-favorite that is longtime will fill 50 percent of the Diaz-brothers-shaped gap that’s been a bothersome existence in the UFC.
Nick, the elder of Stockton, the Diaz brothers of California, has not competed in MMA because January 2015. Thus, it is great to have one of the siblings that are no-nonsense rejoin the planet’s leading mixed martial arts company.
The opponent because of his comeback fight of diaz is Anthony Pettis, the former UFC lightweight champion. He’ll hope this one ends better.
Diaz’s final bout led to what you might refer to as a”lose-win scenario” for the now 34-year-old.
In his highly anticipated rematch with Conor McGregor in UFC 202, the Cesar Gracie BJJ black belt dropped by the most narrow of decisions. Disappointing, convinced, but he got to wash the tears off his face with a cool $13 million into earnings and his combined bag.
No wonder he wanted a while off.
With battling back on his mind, the UFC boy will probably soon be focusing on an opportunity and Pettis to re-establish himself in the game.
Like his last two bouts against McGregor, this one will be scrapped at welterweight. Diaz is 2-3 in his last five fights at 170 lbs while Pettis is 1-0 at the UFC in welterweight following an incredible win over Stephen Thompson in March.
What a fight we have in store.
